Enharmonic

The (theoretical) interval between such notes as G-sharp and A-flat, or D-sharp and E-flat, or any other such combination. On the piano and other instruments with fixed pitch, both notes are sounded by the same key (usually black), though there is a fractional change in pitch on other instruments which are not fixed in pitch, such as the violin and with the voice.
