This fresco from the Brancacci Chapel is opposite Masolino's Adam and Eve Tempted in Paradise. The picture is so similar to the same scene by sculptor Jacopo della Quercia for the Fonte Gaia in Siena, that is suggests that Masaccio based his composition on the earlier work. |
