The Bagnio

:

Having inherited the title of Earl of Squanderfield, the young husband rediscovers his honour. He trails his wife to an assignation with Counsellor Silvertongue in a private room in a brothel. The cuckolded earl is enraged and a duel ensues in which he is mortally wounded by his wife's lover. The errant wife falls to her knees in shock as her husband dies. Watchmen storm into the room as the counsellor, still in night clothes, hastily retreats through the open window.
