Constantine's Dream

1455: San Francesco, Arezzo

In 312, on the night before the battle, Constantine is visited in a dream by an angel who shows him a cross and tells him to lead his men into battle with this symbol. He does so and wins, becoming Emperor of the Roman Empire and then subsequently converting to Christianity
