Daughter of James V of Scotland. and Mary of Guise. Queen of Scots, married Francis II, then Henry Steward, Lord Darnley, and then married the Earl of Bothwell; mother of James VI of Scotland and James I of England. She was implicated in several Catholic plots against Elizabeth and was beheaded
