Norwegian Crusade
After the First Crusade, Baldwin I of Jerusalem requests the help of Sigurd I of Norway, to capture the coastal city of Sidon which was under the control of the Fatimid Caliphate. The arrival of the fleet of Ordelafo Faliero, Doge of Venice, helped the Norwegian forces prevent the Egyptian fleet from providing assistance to the beleaguered Governor of Sidon.
