1928 Born Andrew Warhola in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 6 August
1936 Contracts a rare disease called chorea, or St Vitus's dance, an illness of the nervous system
1945 Enters Carnegie Institute of Technology
1949 Moves to New York on graduating from Carnegie Institute of Technology
1954 Receives the Certificate of Excellence from the American Institute for Graphic Arts
1963 Film Sleep
1963 Moves studio to 231 East Forty-seventh Street, which becomes the Factory
1964 Film Empire
1965 Joins Lou Reed and John Cale's rock band "The Velvet Underground"
1966 Film The Chelsea Girls
