The altarpiece called Linaioli Tabernacle was executed for the Arte dei Linaioli (Guild of Flaxmakers). The central panel depicting the Madonna and the Child is surrounded by a band which contains 12 angels playing different musical instruments. These angels are among the most famous and most popular paintings of Fra Angelico.
